Jeff Claborn, DVM, Twin Rivers Veterinary Clinic, Columbus, Neb.

Dr. Jeff Claborn knows the importance of dependable, therapeutic pinkeye treatments in cow/calf operations.

"Typically, there is little opportunity for us to follow up pinkeye treatment in cattle on pasture. But this is not a problem with TETRADURE because it provides therapeutic treatment levels. Well over 90 percent of our cases are cured with only one dose. The biggest gain of using TETRADURE is saving time and labor costs because of its duration."

There were no significant differences in overall mortality, mortality due to BRD, nor mortality due to Haemophilius infections.

Relapse rates reflect percentage of animals within the universe of previously treated animals – not the entire test group. Example: 2nd BRD relapse rate is the proportion of 1st BRD relapses in each pen that relapsed a second time.

There were no adverse reactions observed in either experimental group. In the first trial, there were no significant differences in 1st, 2nd or 3rd BRD relapse rates. In the second trial, the initial treatment rate for cattle treated with TETRADURE (23.17%) was significantly (P<0.05), but not economically, higher than those treated with Micotil (18.32%).

There were no significant differences in any of the major performance measurements represented in the graph above. Measurements of Average Daily Gain and Dry Matter: Gain were also statistically comparable.
